Just days after Urban Meyer's final victory in the Outback Bowl, Will Muschamp's coaching staff is near completion.

Muschamp officially announced the addition of three coaches to his staff today: Charlie Weis (offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach), Dan Quinn (defensive coordinator/defensive line coach), and Frank Verducci (offensive line coach/running game coordinator).

While the Weis hire was confirmed days ago, Muschamp and the University of Florida finally made it official Monday.

New defensive coordinator Quinn comes to Gainesville from the 7-9 and playoff-bound Seattle Seahawks, where he is the defensive line coach.

Verducci, the new offensive line coach, has primarily coached in the NFL, but coached at Notre Dame under Weis in 2009.

Based on his hires, it's obvious that Muschamp wants a pro influence on his staff and there's nothing wrong with that.

It will give Florida players a greater chance of succeeding in the NFL and will likely help the Gators snag more prospects in the recruiting process.

Also, Muschamp wants familiarity with the Florida football program on staff.

Muschamp grew up going to Gators games at Florida Field, four UF coaches have been retained (Mickey Marotti, Stan Drayton, D.J. Durkin, and Brian White), and he hired Aubrey Hill, a former Gator, as the wide receivers coach.
