I know we're late to the game on this, but all of us at GatorRaid.com send our condolences to the Ian Lockwood family.

Lockwood, a high school football player that had befriended Urban Meyer and the Florida Gators, died from terminal brain cancer last Friday.

From the numerous tributes I have read from multiple Florida Gators fans, players, and coaches online, Lockwood sounds like he was one great kid.

Meyer gave Lockwood the game ball from the Gators' 37-24 Outback Bowl victory against the Penn State Nittany Lions.

It's sad to see someone taken so young, but I have great admiration for Lockwood's bravery throughout his long fight with cancer.

Again, we send our condolences and our best wishes to the Lockwood family.
