Gators continue to leave The Swamp under Will Muschamp's watch.
Cornerback Josh Shaw and defensive end Lynden Trail are the latest to depart, increasing the number of departures to 11 since January.
Shaw's decision comes on the heels of missing the Furman game to visit his grandfather, and he cited a desire to be closer to his family in California as the reason for his departure.
Shaw played 11 games in two seasons at UF, recording 22 tackles.
As for Trail, he struggled to earn playing time, so his exit is likely an indicator that he is seeking a chance to see the field more elsewhere.
Muschamp released the following statement in reaction to Shaw and Trail leaving the program:
"We wish Josh and Lynden the best of luck in the future and we certainly appreciate their contributions to the football program."
