Billy Donovan added two previous head coaches to his staff today, bringing good news to a program that has lacked some stability as of late.

John Pelphrey has worked with Donovan on two separate occasions, when Donovan was coaching Marshall, and when Donovan became the head coach of Florida, from 1996-2002.

The fact that Donovan is hiring him again shows an extreme trust between the two that can elevate the program significantly.

Pelphrey was most recently the head coach at Arkansas, taking the Razorbacks to an 18-13 season in the 2010-2011 season and finishing with a 69-60 overall record in Fayetteville.

Norm Roberts, previously the head coach at St. John's, lead his team to an NIT appearance in 2010 and posted an overall record of 64-85 in six seasons.

Like Donovan, he has strong New York ties and is described by Billy D as "a great recruiter, [and] has high character and integrity."

Donovan only has one more vacancy to fill on the coaching staff after losing Larry Shyatt to Wyoming, Richard Pitino to Louisville, and Rob Lanier to Texas.
