After two tough wins in two days, the Florida Gators faced a tall task in beating the Kentucky Wildcats on Sunday for the SEC Tournament Championship.

After the third slow start in as many days, the Gators never recovered and ended up getting pounded by an energetic and disciplined Kentucky team.

With the final score at 70-54, the Gators suffered one of their more concerning losses of the year.

In all phases of the game, the Gators were flat.

They did not shoot well (38.6%), turned the ball over 14 times, while losing the free-throw battle 20-3.

Florida suffered from rough shooting days from Erving Walker, Kenny Boynton, and Chandler Parsons, while Vernon Macklin contributed only seven points, two rebounds, and five turnovers.

Despite the loss, the Gators still appear to be headed for a #3 seed in the NCAA tournament.

The announcement will be made at 6 PM on CBS.
