No. 17/19 Florida handled success pretty well in Columbia, South Carolina, Wednesday night.

After defeating ranked two clubs (No. 23/24 Vanderbilt and No. 18/18 Kentucky) last week, the Gators destroyed the Gamecocks 79-60 on the road.

Erving Walker led all Florida scorers with 25 points, Vernon Macklin added 16 points, and Kenny Boynton chipped in 12 points.

However, the top performer for the Gators was Chandler Parsons, who scored 14 points and grabbed 12 rebounds, which gives him his third consecutive double-double and his sixth straight game with 10 or more rebounds.

Florida had a better shooting night than South Carolina, posting a field goal percentage of 55.4 percent compared to USC's 41.8 percent mark.

The Gators return to Gainesville for their next game, a matchup with Bruce Pearl and the Tennessee Volunteers Saturday at 6:00 p.m. on ESPN.
