Junior Erving Walker made a driving layup with 14 seconds left to give the No. 17/19 Florida Gators a 61-60 home victory over the Tennessee Volunteers.
Walker led the Florida offense with 16 points, boosted by his nine made free throws in 10 attempts.
Senior Vernon Macklin and sophomore Kenny Boynton chipped in with 12 points apiece and Alex Tyus rounded out the double-digit scorers with 10 points.
The Gators out-rebounded (24-21) and out-assisted (10-9) the Vols, but Tennessee racked up 14 steals compared to just seven for Florida.
With the one-point victory, Florida increases their SEC East divisional lead to 2.5 games over the No. 23/24 Vanderbilt Commodores.
The Gators get a week off before facing the LSU Tigers in Baton Rouge Feb. 20 at 1:00 p.m. on ESPN.
