With the exception of ESPN's rankings, the Florida Gators have disappointingly low marks in recruiting this season.

The Gators' current 2011 class holds the No. 18 spot on Rivals.com's list and ranks No. 26 on Scout.com.

However, Florida has fared much better with the Worldwide Leader in Sports, pulling in at the No. 5 spot in ESPN's class rankings.

The resignation of Urban Meyer has cost the Gators several recruits, including Ohio State LB commit Ryan Shazier and Notre Dame OL commit Chase Hounshell.

However, that hasn't stopped Will Muschamp and his staff from pursuing other high-level recruits like defensive tackle Tim Jernigan and quarterback Jacoby Brissett.

For more insight on Muschamp's struggles to keep Florida's class together, check out an interesting article written by Robbie Andreu of The Gainesville Sun.

In the article, Andreu breaks down the first recruiting classes for UF's last three coaches: Steve Spurrier, Ron Zook, and Meyer.
