According to John Brantley's father, the Florida Gators quarterback has decided not to transfer and will return to Gainesville for his senior season.

Brantley's father said that the embattled quarterback is "excited" about playing for new offensive coordinator Charlie Weis and his pro-style offense.

A tumultuous first season as the starting quarterback combined with Urban Meyer's resignation led many to believe that Brantley would transfer to another school.

Sharing snaps with freshmen Trey Burton and Jordan Reed, Brantley threw for 2,061 passing yards, nine touchdowns, and 10 interceptions in 2010.
