The Florida Gators will officially introduce new head football coach Will Muschamp to the media at 6:25 p.m. Tuesday.

News that athletic director Jeremy Foley had hired Muschamp hit the internet just before the Heisman Trophy ceremony began Saturday night and the former Gainesville native has been working since then to put together a coaching staff and retain Urban Meyer's recruits.

Muschamp signed a five-year, $13.5 million deal with Gators this week.

The press conference will be streamed live on SECSports.com and you can watch it by clicking here.

Outback Bowl Uniforms

Nike announced Tuesday that Florida would be one of four schools (Oregon, Boise State, TCU) to wear special Pro-Combat uniforms for their bowl games.

Well, the designs have been revealed and...there's not much to get excited about.

None of these uniform designs underwent dramatic changes stylistically, so you would have to guess that its upgrades are just fabric technologies or something like that.

Here's the link to the four uniforms. I guess the Gators will be the "road" team in the Outback Bowl on New Year's Day.

Tery Austin will be the next Texas defensive coordinator

Texas doesn't get mad, they get even.

Well, as least they try to.

Orangebloods.com is reporting that to replace new Florida head coach Will Muschamp, the Longhorns have hired Gators defensive coordinator Teryl Austin for the same position on Mack Brown's staff.

In his only season in Gainesville, Austin's unit ranked ninth nationally in total defense (302.9 yards per game) and ranked No. 31 in scoring defense (21.1 points per game).

While Austin was certainly no Charlie Strong, he still did a solid job replacing Louisville's head coach for the Gators in 2010.
