The Florida Gators took care of business against the Kent State Flashes, winning 65-52 Thursday night.

Led by dominant performances from big men Vernon Macklin (19 points, eight rebounds) and Alex Tyus (20 points, five rebounds), Florida put away a determined Kent State team that kept the game close in the first half.

Defensively, the Gators had a great game, holding the Golden Flashes to a 34.5 shooting percentage and forcing 15 turnovers.
