Well, it seems that Urban Meyer is giving Chris Rainey the LeGarrette Blount treatment.
Rainey has progressed from "not being a part of the team," according to Steve Addazio, to possibly starting at running back against the Georgia Bulldogs.
While fans are thrilled to see a talented athlete like Rainey back on the field, his teammates are even happier.
"He's the best player on our team and we really need him and he's an exciting player," center and team captain Mike Pouncey said. "As long as he keeps his mouth shut and keeps doing what he's doing, we'll have him next weekend."
Rainey's suspension came the week before the Tennessee game when he was arrested on an aggravated stalking charge after threatening his ex-girlfriend with a text that said, "Time to Die [expletive]."
Some have speculated that Rainey's concussion against South Florida may have led to his erratic behavior and if so, maybe he needed more attention from team doctors before he left "The Swamp" that day.
However, Meyer and Pouncey have both noted that Rainey has a tendency to speak before he thinks and considering how thin the ice is under his feet right now, he needs to cut that out.
Here's a good column from CBS's Gregg Doyel about Rainey's reinstatement and below is Steve Addazio saying that Rainey is not "part of the team."
