Charlie Weis takes Kansas head coaching job
Florida offensive coordinator Charlie Weis has decided to jump back into the head coaching waters by taking the top job at Kansas.
Weis will be replacing the recently fired Turner Gill, who was let go after posting a 5-19 record in two seasons as the head coach of the Jayhawks.
Weis' last gig as the top guy came at Notre Dame, where he recorded a 35-27 record in five seasons.
"The job that they laid in front of me was a job that anyone with really common sense in my position would take," Weis said of his decision. "It was a very, very, vey good job offer that our family collectively said was just too good to pass up."
