"Blue Out" turns into a blowout, Gators lose to Gamecocks 36-14
It's championship week in Columbia, South Carolina.
The South Carolina Gamecocks dismantled the Florida Gators 36-14, clinching the SEC East title for the first time in school history.
Steve Spurrier's team, led by freshman halfback Marcus Lattimore's 217-yard performance, won the game on the ground, outrushing the Gators 244-34.
If the disparity in the running game wasn't enough, Florida had only 67 yards of total offense at the end of the third quarter.
This loss marks the first time that the Gators have lost to South Carolina in Gainesville.
