First I'd like to apologize for my short break from my last article. I have been extraordinarily busy the past week so I couldn't write this earlier. That and since the national championship there hasn't been much news. One last thing, I've been throwing around the idea of creating a pre-pre season rankings/bowl predictions. Tell me what you think.
The Florida of late has been building a reputation as a coach maker. Now another coach who previously was at the University of Florida will be making his way to a rival school, the University of Miami. But Jedd has made a name for himself before this hire.
He is going to the Hurricanes staff as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach after being the quarterbacks coach at a playoff birth Seattle Seahawks, but it doesn't end there. Before that he was at the University of Minnesota, and even before that he spent another 8 years in the NFL.
However, this isn't the first Florida coach to go to Miami in the past few years. Aubrey Hill, the wide receivers and recruiting coordinator who was at Miami last season was originally a coach at Florida. Nevertheless, Aubrey Hill has come back to this year.
What is really impressive is his three National Championships and three Super Bowls. The downside to this news? He will likely be around in 2012 when the University of Florida travels to Sun Life Stadium to take on the Hurricanes. Who knows, he could become the next Dan Mullen or Charlie Strong. Good luck to him, despite the fact he is at Miami.
What do you think of this hire? Good? Bad? Out-of-Place? Leave a comment.
